“In the past he permitted all the nations to go their own ways, but he never left them without evidence of himself and his goodness. For instance, he sends you rain and good crops and gives you food and joyful hearts.”  (Acts 14:8-18)

War of the Worlds

Sometimes we forget that God’s goodness is not dependent upon who we are, but simply something He is. I’m often frustrated when I hear Christ followers talking like it’s us against the world. Isn’t it us for the world? The war was already won on the cross. It was won at the resurrection. It is won in our everyday as our God walks with us. Our battle is not against flesh and blood. Our battle rather may be to remember the goodness of God is, and has always been, given to undeserving people. I think the bible calls it grace.
